Georgia Fall Seasonal Brews to look out for - Elliott P Hall: Brew Life & Biz

Georgia Fall Seasonal Brews to look out for

Georgia Fall Seasonal Brews 2016

Fall seasonal brews are here (even though it’s still 95 degrees in GA).

It’s that time of year, again, where the leaves don’t change and the days don’t get cooler in Georgia, but around the rest of the country it does, so bring on the Fall seasonal brews! Georgia lags behind the rest of the country when entering the fall season. However, when the weather does change and the leaves turn on our maples, dogwoods, and many others, Fall paints beautiful colors across our landscapes. (Click here to find some of the best places to see the leaves change). The days start to get shorter, and after our sweltering summers, most welcome the cool mornings and pleasant afternoons.

What better way to enjoy the outdoors than to grab something local (wherever you are) and enjoy the season with a brew only available during this specific time. Below is a list of some of the Georgia Fall seasonal brews available this time of year. These are not reviews, but just a helpful list. Although, I’ll be drinking most of these at some point during the season, so I’m sure I’ll be reviewing some of them soon.

Georgia Fall Seasonal Brews

  • SweetWater Hash Brown – India Brown Ale
    • September – November
    • 6.2% ABV
    • 60 IBUs

SweetWater Hash Brown

*I’ve had this beer many times. It’s a very good, hopped up (using their signature hop hash) brown ale perfect for cooler nights. Click here to learn more.

  • Terrapin Brewery – Cranberry Pumpkinfest
    • Available Sept – Nov
    • 5.5% ABV
    • 20 IBUs

*I haven’t had this beer yet, but just about everything Terrapin does is great, so give it a try. Click here to learn more.

  • Red Hare Brewery – Hasenpfeffer Oktoberfest
    • Available Fall
    • 5.5% ABV
    • 20 IBUs

Red Hare Hasenpfeffer Oktoberfest

*This is a favorite of mine, it’s also brewed according to tradition with classic ingredients. Click here to learn more.

  • Jekyll Brewing – Seven Bridges Oktoberfest
    • Available Fall
    • 5.3% ABV
    • 24 IBUs

Jekyll Seven Bridges

*Another beer I need to try soon. Looks like it’s a true lager, and I will be looking for it this season. Click here to learn more.

  • Jailhouse Brewing – Breakout Stout
    • Available Late Fall – Mid Winter
    • 8% ABV
    • 65 IBUs

Breakout Stout

*I saved this one for last since it will probably be the last one to come out later this fall, but don’t miss this beer, it’s a crowd favorite. Click here to learn more.

There are many more wonderful breweries in Georgia, and I would like to list all of their Fall seasonal brews. However, as you might know from an earlier post I purchased a house two weeks ago, so there are plenty of home projects to work on today. Please be on the look-out for a Georgia Fall Seasonal Brews Part 2 post in the near future.

Update – September 25th, 2016. Check out Part 2 Here!
