Book Recommendation – Secret Lives of the US Presidents

So it’s election day in the United States. Millions of Americans will be crowding around their screens to watch.

In just a few hours we should learn who will become our next president. That person will join an exclusive club, boasting only a few dozen members, ranging over 200 years. The office of the president is one of the highest regarded positions in the world. The job, I’m sure, has immense challenges, but comes with rewards and recognitions that most people could only imagine.

The book Secret Lives of the US Presidents by Cormac O’Brien is a fascinating for any history buff. It gives you a glimpse into the lives of the presidents that you never learned about in school. It has no political agenda, nor does it lean to the left or right. This book is the lesser known facts about the people who have held the highest position in our government.

It lets you see these people as human beings who have dreams, and hobbies and even fail sometimes. Some of them overcame incredible odds to become president. Others, it seemed were born for the position. This book reminds you that these people were real and not just notes in a history book. It also vividly shows you that if you work real hard you could be president too.

If you like history, politics, or interesting facts (my favorite) then check this book out. Each chapter is about one president, so it’s great for a light read as well. You can find it here.
